Questions
Senior Halo is $34.97 a month, $179.97 every 6 months, or $299 a year, and you can cancel anytime. Here are plain answers to everything else.
How Halo works
What does Senior Halo do?
It gives you a second opinion on any text, email, or voicemail you’re not sure about. Send it to Halo and you’ll get a plain answer: it’s a scam, be careful, or it looks safe, plus what to do next. Our Chrome extension also warns you before money leaves your hands, and every two weeks we email you a short bulletin about the scams going around.
How do I send Halo a message I’m not sure about?
Forward it, the same way you’d forward it to a friend. You can forward a text or an email. For a voicemail, send the written version your phone makes of it. We’ll show you where to forward them when you join.
What does the Chrome extension do?
It puts up a warning at the moment a scam tries to take your money, so you have time to stop. That includes installing a program that lets a stranger control your computer, like AnyDesk or TeamViewer, going to a cryptocurrency ATM website, or an unusual gift-card purchase. It works on computers with Google Chrome. You don’t need it to check texts and emails from your phone or tablet.
Will Halo stop every scam?
No one can promise that, and we don’t. What we promise is an honest second opinion, a pause before money moves, and a real person on the phone when you need one.
What if Halo isn’t sure?
It tells you so, in plain words. While it’s unsure, the safe thing is not to pay anyone and not to share anything, and Halo will tell you that too.
Can I talk to a real person?
Yes. Call us at 1-866-326-1160, every day, 8 AM to 8 PM Eastern. A person picks up.
Your privacy and safety
Will Senior Halo ever ask for my password?
No. We’ll never ask for a password, a security code, bank details, gift cards, or remote access to your computer, by phone, email, text, or anywhere else. If someone says they’re from Senior Halo and asks for any of these, hang up and call us at 1-866-326-1160.
Do you connect to my bank accounts?
No. We never see, store, or touch your bank logins or your money. Halo is a second opinion, not a gatekeeper.
What happens to the messages I send you?
We use them to tell you whether they’re a scam and to get better at spotting scams. They stay in your account so you can look back at them, and you can delete any of them anytime.
Does the extension see what I do online?
No. It looks only for signs of a scam trying to take your money. It doesn’t record your browsing history or read your messages, and it tells us only when it shows you a warning.
Do you sell my information?
No. We don’t sell your personal information, and we never use your messages, your extension activity, or your family contacts for advertising. Our Privacy Policy has the details.
Do I need a password to sign in?
No. We email you a sign-in link instead. There’s no password to remember, and none for anyone to steal.
Family alerts
What is a family alert?
It’s a text message to someone you trust when Halo sees a serious scam aimed at you. It’s off unless you turn it on.
Who decides who gets alerts?
You do. You pick who gets them, and you can change or remove them anytime.
What does my family member see?
They see that Halo spotted a serious scam and how they can help. They don’t see your messages or your history.
Will my family hear about every message I check?
No. Alerts go out only for serious scams, and only to the people you’ve chosen.
Does adding a family member cost extra?
No. Your membership includes the family contacts you choose to add for alerts.
Price and billing
How much does Senior Halo cost?
$34.97 a month, $179.97 every 6 months, or $299 a year. The 6-month membership works out to $30.00 a month, and the yearly one to $24.92 a month.
Do you ever have an intro price?
Sometimes, such as $1.99 for your first week, then the regular price of $34.97 a month. When an intro offer applies, the checkout page shows it before you pay. We’ll email you before the intro period ends to remind you of the price that’s coming. To avoid the regular charge, cancel before it’s up.
Does my membership renew on its own?
Yes. Every membership renews automatically until you cancel. We email you 15 to 45 days before a 6-month or yearly membership renews, and we send a receipt for every charge.
Can I get my money back?
Yes. Ask within 30 days of your first full-price charge and we’ll refund that charge in full, plus any intro fee you paid. The same 30 days applies after a 6-month or yearly renewal. Later monthly charges aren’t refundable. To ask, email support@seniorhalo.com or call 1-866-326-1160.
Are there any other fees?
No hidden fees. You pay the price of your membership, plus sales tax where the law requires it. Any tax is shown before you pay.
Can I switch to a different membership?
Yes, anytime, in your account or by calling us. The switch starts at your next renewal date.
Canceling
How do I cancel?
Any of three ways: sign in and cancel from your account, call us at 1-866-326-1160, or email support@seniorhalo.com from the email on your account. You don’t need to give a reason.
Will I lose my protection right away?
No. You keep everything through the end of the time you’ve already paid for, including your intro week. After that, you won’t be charged again.
Does uninstalling the extension cancel my membership?
No. Uninstalling the extension doesn’t stop your membership or its charges. To cancel, use your account, call us, or email us.
Can a family member cancel for me?
Yes, if they’re listed on your account or have your permission. We’ll check a few details on the account to make sure it’s you. We’ll never ask for a password, a security code, or payment details to cancel.
Can I take a break instead?
Yes, on the monthly membership. You can pause for 1 month instead of canceling. You keep your protection through the time you’ve paid for, then billing and protection stop for a month and start again on their own. You can still cancel anytime.
