Senior Halo

Terms of Service

Effective October 13, 2026

The agreement between you and Internet Venture Holdings LLC for using Senior Halo. We’ve tried to write it in plain words. The sections about what we’re not responsible for and how disputes are resolved matter most, so please read them.

The short version

  • Senior Halo gives you a second opinion on messages, calls, and websites that might be scams. It’s an automated assistant, not a lawyer, a financial advisor, the police, or an emergency service.
  • No service can catch every scam. Halo can be wrong. You always make the final decision, and you should check with the real person or company using a phone number you already trust.
  • We never ask for, see, or touch your bank logins, passwords, security codes, or money. We aren’t responsible for money or property you send to anyone, or for what scammers do.
  • If you’re in danger, call 911. If you’ve sent money to a scammer, call your bank right away.
  • Disputes are settled by individual arbitration or small claims court, not class actions or jury trials. You can opt out within 30 days of signing up. See section 19.

This summary is for convenience. The full text below applies.

1.Our agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Internet Venture Holdings LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company that offers Senior Halo (“Senior Halo,” “we,” “us,” “our”). They cover our websites, the Halo assistant, our email and text-message intake, the Senior Halo browser extension, family alerts, our newsletters and bulletins, and our customer support (together, the “Service”).

Our Privacy Policy and Subscription Terms are part of these Terms. By creating an account, paying for a plan, installing the extension, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

Please read section 19 carefully. It requires you and us to resolve disputes through individual binding arbitration or small claims court, and it waives the right to a jury trial and to take part in a class action. You can opt out as explained there.

2.What Senior Halo is, and what it isn’t

Senior Halo is an informational safety tool. When you send us a message or the extension sees a known scam pattern, we tell you what we think is going on and suggest safe next steps. That’s all it is: an opinion to help you decide.

Senior Halo is not:

  • Professional advice. Nothing we say is legal, financial, investment, tax, medical, insurance, or other professional advice. We aren’t a law firm, a bank, a financial advisor, an insurer, a credit counselor, or a consumer reporting agency.
  • Law enforcement or an emergency service. We don’t investigate crimes, contact police for you, or recover lost money. If you are in danger or being threatened, call 911.
  • A guarantee. Criminals change their methods constantly. No product, including ours, can detect or stop every scam, fraud, impersonation, or deepfake.
  • Insurance or a reimbursement program. We don’t repay losses, whether or not Halo saw the scam.
  • A guardian, agent, or fiduciary. We don’t act on your behalf, manage your affairs, or watch over you around the clock. We only respond to what you send us and to the specific patterns the extension watches for.
  • Connected to your money. We never ask for, store, or use your bank or card logins, passwords, one-time codes, or the ability to move money, and we can’t stop or reverse a payment.

Halo is an artificial intelligence system, not a person. Some of its answers are produced automatically, without human review.

3.Who can use it, and setting it up for someone

You must be at least 18 and live in the United States to use the Service. The person the Service protects is the “member.” The person who pays may be the member or someone else, such as an adult child.

If you set up or pay for the Service for someone else, you confirm that you have their permission, or the legal authority to act for them (for example, under a power of attorney or guardianship). You also agree that they will use the Service under these Terms. Either of you may manage the account as these Terms allow, and the member always has the final say over their own family alert settings.

Keep your account details accurate and your sign-in email secure. You’re responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has accessed it.

4.Messages you send us

You can send us emails, text messages, screenshots, voicemail recordings or transcripts, links, and similar material for Halo to check (“Submitted Content”). When you do:

  • You give us permission to store, copy, analyze, and process it, and to have our service providers do the same, to give you an answer, operate and secure the Service, and improve how we detect scams, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • You confirm that you have the right to share it with us, and that any recording you send was made legally. Some states require everyone on a call to agree before it is recorded.
  • You understand that it may include information about other people, such as the sender. We handle that information under our Privacy Policy.
  • Forwarding a suspicious message that may contain a harmful link or file is fine. That’s what the Service is for. Don’t send harmful files for any other reason.

Please don’t send us your passwords, security codes, full card or account numbers, or Social Security number. We don’t need them to help you. If you send them anyway, we’ll try to delete them, but we can’t promise they won’t be processed first.

We may refuse, remove, or limit Submitted Content that breaks these Terms or the law.

5.How to use Halo’s answers

Halo’s answers (“Verdicts”), including labels like “scam,” “be careful,” and “looks safe,” are automated opinions based on the information you give us and on patterns we know about. You agree that:

  • Verdicts can be wrong. Halo may miss a scam (a false negative) or flag something that is real (a false positive). “Looks safe” never means something is guaranteed to be safe.
  • Verdicts depend on what you send. A partial or edited message can lead to a wrong answer.
  • Answers usually arrive quickly, but we don’t guarantee any response time. Don’t wait for Halo if you’re being pressured to act. Hang up and call someone you trust.
  • You are always responsible for your own decisions, including whether to pay, send money, share information, click a link, install software, or contact anyone.
  • Before acting on any request for money or information, check it directly with the person or company, using a phone number or website you already know is real, not one in the message.

If you think you’ve sent money or information to a scammer, contact your bank or card company right away. You can also report it to the FBI at ic3.gov and to the Federal Trade Commission at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.

6.The browser extension

While your subscription is active, we give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable license to install and use the Senior Halo browser extension on browsers you use. The extension watches for specific scam warning signs, such as attempts to install remote-access software, visits to cryptocurrency ATM or exchange sites, and unusual gift-card purchases, and shows a warning when it sees one. Our Privacy Policy explains what it does and doesn’t collect.

  • Warnings are meant to slow things down. A warning may appear on a legitimate site or purchase, and may delay or interrupt it. You can choose to continue. We aren’t responsible for a delayed, interrupted, or abandoned transaction, or for what happens after you continue past a warning.
  • The extension won’t see every scam. It doesn’t work in every browser, app, or device, or on phone calls, and browser or website changes may stop it from working.
  • The extension updates automatically. Some features may need you to accept new permissions. You can uninstall it at any time. Uninstalling it doesn’t cancel your subscription.
  • If you get the extension from a browser’s store, that store’s terms also apply. The store isn’t responsible for the extension or for supporting it.

7.Family alerts

A member can choose family members or friends to be alerted when Halo sees a serious threat. Before anyone gets an alert, we text them to ask for their consent, and they can stop alerts at any time by replying STOP.

  • The member must have the contact’s permission to share their phone number with us, and can add or remove contacts at any time.
  • Alerts say a serious threat was seen and how to help. They don’t include the member’s messages unless the member chooses to share them.
  • Alerts depend on phone carriers and may be delayed or not delivered. Don’t rely on them in an emergency.
  • Family contacts aren’t our employees or agents. We aren’t responsible for what they do or don’t do after an alert.

8.Text messages and calls

When you give us a mobile number, you agree that we may text or call it about the Service. That includes Halo’s answers to messages you send, family alerts, sign-in links, account, billing, and renewal notices, and support. These messages may be sent with automated technology. You confirm that you are the subscriber or regular user of each number you give us, and you’ll tell us if it changes.

  • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to stop texts from us, or HELP for help. You can also contact support@seniorhalo.com or 1-866-326-1160. If you stop texts, we can’t text you Halo’s answers or alerts, but you can still use email.
  • We send marketing texts only if you separately agree to them. Agreeing is never a condition of buying.
  • Carriers aren’t liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We may record or monitor support calls for quality and training, and we’ll tell you at the start of the call when we do.

9.How to recognize us

Scammers may pretend to be Senior Halo. We will never call, text, or email to ask for your password, a security code, your bank or card details, a gift card, cryptocurrency, or a payment outside our checkout. We will never ask you to install software other than our extension from an official browser store, or to let us control your computer.

Our only phone number is 1-866-326-1160. Our emails come only from @seniorhalo.com. If you’re unsure whether a message is from us, don’t reply to it. Contact us directly.

10.Rules for using the Service

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to plan, test, carry out, or improve a scam, fraud, or any illegal activity.
  • Probe, test, or try to get around our detection, or use our Verdicts to train or tune anything meant to avoid detection.
  • Copy, reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or resell the Service or the extension, except where the law allows it despite this limit.
  • Interfere with, overload, or try to break into the Service or anyone’s account.
  • Use the Service to watch, track, or control another adult without their knowledge and permission.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse our staff.

11.Our content and your feedback

The Service, the extension, our Verdicts, bulletins, and the Senior Halo name and logo belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. Apart from the rights these Terms give you, we don’t give you any rights in them. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

12.Bulletins, articles, and examples

Our bulletins, articles, and examples are general information about scams. They may be out of date when you read them, and they aren’t advice about your situation. Real stories we share come from public reports, and the details are as reported.

13.Other companies’ services

The Service depends on others, including web browsers, phone carriers, email providers, payment processors, artificial intelligence providers, and hosting companies. Their services have their own terms. We aren’t responsible for their products, outages, or actions, or for websites we link to.

14.Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service, the extension, and all Verdicts, alerts, and content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and quiet enjoyment.

We do not warrant that the Service will detect, prevent, or warn you about any or every scam, fraud, impersonation, deepfake, or other threat; that any Verdict will be correct or complete; that alerts or messages will be delivered or delivered on time; or that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Some states don’t allow these disclaimers, so some of them may not apply to you.

15.Losses caused by others

Scams are crimes committed by other people. We are not responsible for the acts of scammers or any other third party, including fraud, theft, impersonation, extortion, identity theft, threats, or violence.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any money, cryptocurrency, gift cards, property, or information that you or anyone else gives, sends, or transfers to anyone, whether or not the Service reviewed, flagged, missed, or warned about the scam involved, and whether or not you followed a Verdict.

16.Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Internet Venture Holdings LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, agents, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of money, savings, investments, property, data, profits, or goodwill; identity theft; emotional distress; personal injury; or death, arising out of or related to the Service, any Verdict or recommendation, any alert, or these Terms, whatever the legal theory (contract, tort including negligence, product liability, statute, or otherwise), and even if we were told such damages were possible.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for all claims arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms will not be more than the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

These limits are a basic part of our agreement. Our prices would be much higher without them. They apply even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit, such as liability for our own fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct, or any rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived. Some states don’t allow certain limits, so some of them may not apply to you.

17.Your responsibility for misuse

If someone makes a claim against us because you broke these Terms or the law, misused the Service, or sent us content you didn’t have the right to send, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, to the extent the law allows. This doesn’t apply to the extent the claim was caused by our own misconduct.

18.Changes, suspension, and ending the Service

We may change, add, or remove features. If we make an important change to these Terms, we’ll email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and we’ll post the updated Terms here with a new effective date. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the change. If you don’t agree, you can cancel. Changes to section 19 follow the rule in that section.

You can stop using the Service at any time. See our Subscription Terms to cancel. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, don’t pay, misuse the Service, or put others at risk, or if the law requires it. If we end the Service for any other reason, we’ll refund the unused part of any period you’ve paid for.

Sections 4, 5, 11, and 13 to 21 continue to apply after your account ends.

19.Resolving disputes: individual arbitration and class action waiver

Talk to us first. Most problems can be fixed with a phone call. Before starting arbitration or a lawsuit, you agree to send a written notice to legal@seniorhalo.com or to Internet Venture Holdings LLC, Attn: Legal, 1309 Coffeen Avenue, STE 1200, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801. The notice must include your name, your account email, a description of the dispute, and what you want. We’ll do the same before bringing a claim against you. Both sides agree to try in good faith to resolve the dispute for 60 days after the notice is received. Deadlines for bringing the claim are paused during that time.

Binding arbitration. If we can’t resolve it, you and Internet Venture Holdings LLC agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the Service, these Terms, or our relationship, including whether this section applies or can be enforced, will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, not in court. One exception: either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies. Either of us may also ask a court to stop someone from infringing intellectual property.

The arbitration will be run by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules and, where they apply, its Mass Arbitration Supplementary Rules, as changed by this section. Those rules are at adr.org. Fees are paid as those rules provide. The arbitration will take place by video, by phone, in writing, or in the county where you live, as the arbitrator decides. The arbitrator may award the same individual relief a court could. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section.

Class action and jury trial waiver: you and Internet Venture Holdings LLC each agree to bring claims only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not combine more than one person’s claims or preside over any class or representative proceeding. You and we each waive the right to a jury trial.

Many similar claims. If 25 or more similar demands are filed against us by or with the help of the same or coordinated lawyers or organizations, the AAA’s Mass Arbitration Supplementary Rules will apply, and the claims may be administered and decided in stages. Deadlines for bringing claims that haven’t yet been heard are paused while the earlier stages are decided.

If part of this section can’t be enforced. If a court decides that the class action waiver can’t be enforced for a particular claim, that claim (and only that claim) will be decided in court, not arbitration, after the rest are arbitrated. The same applies to any request for public injunctive relief that the law doesn’t allow to be arbitrated. Any such claim will be paused until the arbitration is finished.

Opting out. You can opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Email legal@seniorhalo.com or write to the address above, with your name, your account email, and a clear statement that you’re opting out of arbitration. Opting out won’t affect anything else in these Terms or your service.

Time limit. To the fullest extent the law allows, any claim must be brought within one year after it arises, or it’s permanently barred.

Changes to this section. If we change this section after you accepted it, you can reject the change by telling us within 30 days of the change. The version you last accepted will then keep applying.

20.Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and by the Federal Arbitration Act. Any dispute that isn’t arbitrated and isn’t in small claims court will be decided only in the state or federal courts in Sheridan County, Wyoming, and you and we agree to those courts’ jurisdiction. Nothing here takes away protections you have under the consumer laws of the state where you live.

21.Other terms

  • Whole agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Subscription Terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
  • Severability. If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, that part will be enforced as far as the law allows, and the rest stays in effect. Section 19 has its own rule for this.
  • No waiver. If we don’t enforce part of these Terms, that doesn’t mean we give up the right to do so later.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer your account or these Terms. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business.
  • Events outside our control. We aren’t responsible for delays or failures caused by events we can’t reasonably control, such as outages, carrier failures, or natural disasters.
  • Electronic notices. You agree that we may provide agreements, notices, and receipts electronically, by email or on our website, and that they count as being in writing.
  • Summaries and headings are for convenience and don’t change the meaning of these Terms.
